Overall exam pattern:

CAT 2014 had undergone some crucial changes as it was held on two separate dates. Timings had gone up to 170 mins.

No. of questions have been increased to 50 in each section. Candidates can switch from one section to another section easily. There was no change in the exam syllabus

Although DI was tough but Quants was comparatively manageable. Ideal attempts were 10 questions. Mostly the questions were based on common sense asthere was no data sufficiency questions this time.

BIRD’S EYE VIEW:

There was nothing new in terms of strategy and attempts. Many new types of questions were added to CAT 2014. Therewere changes in answer marking and navigating instructions. CAT Papers were similar in pattern, toughness and type of question. There was a new Feature “VIEW ENTIRE QUESTION PAPER” in case you miss out something.
