Overall exam pattern:

IIFT 2010 consisted of 4 sections viz. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Verbal ability, Quantitative ability. The difficulty level was Moderate to difficult. It consisted of 138 questions to be solved in 120 min. It also consisted of errors.

Detailed Sectional Analysis :

 Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning :

ThequestionsfromDI were time consuming & intensive calculations as it was difficult. Most students would have attempted 15 -16 questions with 80% accuracy. The questions from LR were of easy to moderate difficulty level. A good student would attempt 15-17 questions which could be solved in 30-35 min.

General awareness :

The question on GE were quite simpler than previous year’s as it was not lengthy. An ideal would be attempt 12-14 attempts which could be solved in 10-12 min.

Verbal Ability & Reading comprehension:

The RCs were on Kodak & Warren buffet, limited statistical evidence & reactions to organisational experience were difficult. The VA questions were on Fill in the blanks, analogies etc. Overall attempt could be 21-22 questions which could be solved within 30-35 min.

Quantitative ability :

QA was the most difficult section of all. The QA had questions from geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, AMA, progressions etc. Overall attempts would be 12-15 questions which could be solved in 35-40 min as DI was time consuming & intensive calculations.
