Since when did you start preparing?

I started preparing since August 2016.

How did you prepare for each section of the exam?

I gave sectional tests and topic wise tests for CAT. Prepared the basics of all the sections from CATKing Basic books and then from CATKing Advanced books.

How many mock exams did you give?

I gave 20 mocks.

How many hours did you invest in studying per day?

I studied for 8 hours a day.

What were your strong and weak areas? How did you prepare and what special efforts did you put for improving your weak areas?

Quant and Verbal were my strong areas. I was weak in DI. I used to solve 2 DI sets and 1 LR puzzle daily and ensured that I am well prepared for this section.

Any particular topic(s) in every section you would suggest that the students appearing this year should focus on?

Quant – Geometry, Arithmetic and Numbers

Verbal – Parajumbles, Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension

DI-LR – Prepare every possible type as CAT’16 DILR section wasn’t as it was expected to be.

What was your D-Day Strategy?

Going through every question, solving the easy ones, marking the moderate difficulty level questions for later part (last 30 minutes). Focusing on my strength areas is what I did.

How was your overall experience?

My preparation duration has been full of ups and downs.

The days when I felt low and less confident, Rahul Sir’s sessions helped me stay motivated and give my best.
