I have appeared for CAT, NMAT, SNAP and TISSNET.


What is your score in the exam?

NMAT: 190, CAT: 75%tile, SNAP: 67%tile

Since when did you start preparing?

I started preparing since August 2016. Looks a tad bit late but still enough for better scores.


How did you prepare for each section of the exam?

For Verbal, basic book, Norman Lewis Word Power Made Easy, YouTube videos

For LRDI, PRACTICE! As many problems possible you can solve. Nothing else worked for me. Practice faster calculation.

For Quant, build your basics and then move ahead. Never stop enhancing your skills.


How many mock exams did you give?

I gave about 10 mocks. Only regret to have when you could have scored better.


How many hours did you invest in studying per day?

I studied for 3-4 hours in the beginning.

One month to go for the exam, as much time as possible with mock exams.


What were your strong and weak areas? How did you prepare and what special efforts did you put for improving your weak areas?

Do solve mocks and problems which seem hard in the beginning. Practice problems and mocks with time running alongside.


Any particular topic(s) in every section you would suggest that the students appearing this year should focus on?

GRAMMAR – helps in entire VA section in all exams.

Probability and Permutation and Combination is a must along with Geometry.


What was your D-Day Strategy?

Be calm! Listen to your favorite inspiring music and don’t be lazy.


How was your overall experience?

My overall experience was good.
