Since when did you start preparing?

I started preparing since July 2016.

How did you prepare for each section of the exam?

I started from basics, training the mind like any other muscle requires regular training. I started early and gave regular mock exams, analyzing and learning from each. Focused on refining the mistakes and not repeat them.

How many mock exams did you give?

CAT – 25                       XAT – 1

NMAT – 5                    SNAP – 1

How many hours did you invest in studying per day?

8 hours from September onwards. But till then, 1-2 hours before and after work.

What were your strong and weak areas? How did you prepare and what special efforts did you put for improving your weak areas?

LR/DI was my weak area. I solved previous year questions to know what I can expect and how to tackle it.

Any particular topic(s) in every section you would suggest that the students appearing this year should focus on?

QA – Geometry

LR – Puzzles

VA – Reading comprehensions (Read good quality books and newspapers, this will prepare you for the later stages of B-school admissions)

What was your D-Day Strategy?

Stay calm, don’t panic. When panic sets in, it is better to switch off yourself and relax for 2 minutes than to mess up the remaining exams.

How was your overall experience?

Learnt more than just academics. A very humbling experience learning from the best. Leaving a better person with connections for life.
