The IIFT exam is a management aptitude examination for admission to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade's (IIFT) , which is IIFT exam full form, MBA International Business program in Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. The CAT exam pattern was changed after six years in 2020 due to COVID-19. Until last year, the CAT was carried out in line with the method adopted in 2014. In this article check the history of the changes in CAT exam pattern over the years. CAT 2021 will be conducted on November 28, 2021 and the pattern will be same as 2020. In 2020, IIM Indore conducted CAT and they made major changes to the pattern. This is not the first time the CAT exam pattern has been changed by IIM Indore. Students were slightly be uncomfortable with the new paper pattern as they had been preparing according to the old one. The biggest change is that the CAT exam is now only two hours with 40 minutes per section. The distribution of questions is- 26 questions in the Verbal ability and reading comprehension and the Quantitative ability section respectively, and 24 questions in the Data interpretation and logical reasoning section. Changes in CAT exam pattern in the last 20 years
In the last six years, the marking scheme of the CAT exam has also not changed. For each correct answer, 3 marks are allotted and for each wrong answer, -1 mark is deducted. there's no deduction of marks for TITA questions and questions left unattempted. The total marks of the CAT 2020 paper are yet to be known. However, watching the trends of the past 11 years of the CAT exam pattern one cannot fail but notice that the test structure of the CAT exam witnessed an enormous change in 2013-2014 in terms of duration and number of questions. While in CAT 2013, the number of questions was 60 and therefore the time duration was 140 minutes, in CAT 2014, the number of questions increased to 100 and therefore the time duration was increased to 170 minutes. On the opposite hand, the number of sections kept changing from three to 2 to 3 again between 2010 and 2015. Between 2011 to 2014, the number of sections was two. Trends in CAT Registration
CAT 2015 witnessed the worst ever number of applicants and IIM Ahmedabad, the conducting authority was then forced to increase the appliance deadline by 5 days. However, the fear of MBA crisis was allayed when the number of registrations went up to 2.18 lakhs, after the second deadline. Around 18% of these who registered for CAT didn't appear for the test. In 2015, out of 2,18,664 registered students just one,79,602 appeared for the exam. The number of CAT applicants has seen an upward trend within the last 2 years showing after a quick decline during the recession years. In 2018, approximately 2,40,338 candidates registered for CAT.

MAH-CET
In order to get into a B school in the state of Maharashtra one needs to write the MH-CET exam which is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education DTE, Maharashtra every year. This exam score is accepted by more than 100+ management institutes in the state of Maharashtra. MH-CET exam by the DTE is held once in a year in the month of February/ March. MAH-CET Counselling
In order to get a seat in the B school, DTE conducts counseling in the month of July. The aspirants need to register themselves for the counseling process and the seat allotment process. Only these aspirants who register are qualified to appear for the counseling process. MAH-CET Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) is the process followed during MHCET counseling. CMAT (Common Management Admission Test)
Another exam that all MBA aspirants can attempt is CMAT (Common Management Admission Test). This exam is the national level MBA entrance exam which is conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is accepted by more than 400 top colleges through CMAT in India. CMAT vs CET
- CMAT has a negative marking in the exam which means that the aspirant should be cautious and balance the accuracy. CET, on the other hand, has no negative marking, students can attempt all the questions and do the guesswork
- CMAT is the national level exam conducted by AICTE and MAH-CET is the state level exam conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.
- The proportion of quant questions in the entire paper is more in CMAT than CET
- Visual reasoning questions are asked in CET whereas in the CMAT exam such kind of questions are not asked
- The reading comprehension in the CMAT is not of conventional type, these RCs are not traditional long RCs but these are short paragraph based RCs.
- The paper of the CET has more reasoning questions, almost around 50% of the paper contains reasoning questions. This is the main advantage for Non-Engineering students. Whereas in the CMAT only 25% of marks are allocated for logical reasoning.
- CET has verbal reasoning questions. Around 20 questions are from this section. But these kinds of questions don’t appear in CMAT.

SNAP Exam 2020 Overivew
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude) Exam 2020 is a nation-wide management admissions test. It is conducted every year by Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU). SNAP test scores are acceptable for admissions to 15 institutes under the SIU umbrella. The scores are also accepted for admissions to various other MBA or equivalent courses.
Previously, the exam was a pen and paper based test but from this year, the authorities have introduced an online-mode for the exam. Since the exam’s inception, this will be the first year that it will be conducted on the computer.
It is generally a 2 hour duration exam and is conducted in over 102 cities all over India.
Each year, an interactive session of ‘SNAP IT’ is conducted by SCHMRD in 15 cities and 17 locations of India to help the MBA aspirants clear any issues or doubts they might be facing during the exam preparation. SNAP IT was held, at first weekend of december, last year. The usual discussion generally includes any changes in the exam pattern and ways to tackle them. Also, key aspects of the interviews and group discussions are also discussed upon by the members of SCHMRD, who share their personal experience to shed light on the topic at hand. The aspirants are provided a take on the other exams as well.

- Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with atleast 50% marks (in case of general category) or 45% (for SC/ST candidates) for admissions to the Master of Business Programs.

SNAP Exam Analysis
This year with the change in the exam structure, there were only three sections viz. General English, Quantitative Ability and Analytical & Logical Reasoning in the paper with 34, 35 and 36 questions in each section respectively. You could have attempted the paper in the sequence of your choice as you were allowed to move from one section to another section. The total time given for the paper was 120 minutes.

Candidates willing to apply for SNAP must fill in the application form carefully. Authorities will reject the applications having incomplete or incorrect information.
To apply for SNAP, candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:
1.Visit the official website
2.Click on the ‘apply’ tab in the homepage
3.The candidate will be redirected a nee page having the SNAP form
4.Enter all the required details. Make sure you enter a valid email ID and a working phone number
5.Upload a recent passport sized scanned color photograph
6.Click submit. Make sure you check all the details before submitting the form. Details once submitted cannot be edited
7.Once the form is submitted, candidate will receive a SNAP ID. The same ID will be used for future reference
8.After the registration details are complete, the candidate needs to pay the application fee of Rs 1500.

Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website. They must note that the admit card will be allotted only to those candidates who register successfully for the exam

After the admit card is printed, a passport size colored photograph attested by a Gazetted Officer needs to be pasted on the admit card. Candidates are also advised to carry any of the following IDs along with the admit card to the exam hall:

5.Voter ID card
6.Pan Card
Candidates must note that the admit card is an important document that needs to be carried to the exam hall. Also, it is advisable to keep the admit card safely until the entire admission process gets over. In case the admit card is lost, a duplicate Admit Card will not be issued.

What is the TISSNET exam?
TISS also is known as the TATA Institute of social science conducts National Entrance Test (NET) a.k.a TISSNET. And this test is a computer-based examination, using English as a medium.
So it has 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 100 minutes i.e, one hour 40 minutes. But for any of its programs, the TISSNET entrance exam has no negative marking.
