CAT Exam Mistakes That everybody Is DoingAnisha Mukhija
CAT is the most famous exam for MBA Aspirants. It’s a time taking process and while preparing for the exam the biggest mistake students do is only one that they think CAT preparation is equivalent to 10th, 12th, or graduation preparation. But the reality is completely opposite. CAT exam requires consistency and dedication only then the candidate will able to crack the exam. It’s not like what we did in our 10th and 12th where the student’s studied at the last moment and get good marks. If the candidate believes in such a way then they are giving themselves a fake motivation because the scenario is completely different.
What is CAT?
CAT is Common Aptitude test which is a computer-based management exam conducted once a year all over India. The candidate can hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% and for the reserved category, it’s 45%.
The test consists of 3 sections:-
|CAT 2022 Exam||Total Question||Syllabus|
|Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension||24||4 RC passage, Para summary, Para Completion, Para Jumbles, Odd one Out, FIB, Grammar etc.|
|Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning||20||DI- Pie chart, Bar Chart, Caselets and Tables, Venn Diagram, Tables
LR – Family tree, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Clocks and Calendar, Blood Relation, Coding-Decoding, Puzzles etc.
|Quantitative Aptitude||22||Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Probability, Permutation and combination etc|
To solve these you’ll be given 40 min to each section and the one who can solve 20 Questions out of 40 will score 99+%tile. But to score 99%tile one needs to be consistent with their studies. For VARC the candidate has to read Aeon Essays, and Hindu articles regularly and make sure you make a formula book for quants so that you can revise it at the time of exam whereas DI/LR sets require regular practice. So guys please do work hard for your dream and make them happen.
All the best!
