NMAT stands for, Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test. This is like an entrance exam to get admission into Narsee Monjee Institute of Management. The exam was acquired by Graduate Admission Council in 2015 and hence the NMAT is renamed by The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It is a computer generated test by GMAC. It is an important national level entrance test for MBA leading to MBA admissions in top MBA colleges.

  1. Who conducts NMAT by GMAC exam?

NMAT is a computer-administered test owned by Graduate Management Global Connection (India) Private Limited (GMGC). It is the subsidiary of GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council).

The admissions for NMAT by GMAC 2020- 2022 will start from 4th October to 17th December 2019.

  1. How is NMAT exam executed?

NMAT exam is a 120-minute test with three sections:

  1. What is the eligibility criteria for appearing for the NMAT exam by GMAC?

The basic eligibility criteria for the NMAT exam by GMAC are as follows:

  • All candidates who are applying for NMAT exam 2019 must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a government recognized university.
  • All the candidates applying must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • There is no restriction to the maximum age for the candidates appearing for the exam.
  • Candidates who are in their final year of the qualifying exam can appear for NMAT 2019.
  1. Will the syllabus of NMAT by GMAC change this year?

The syllabus will not change for the NMAT by GMAC. The exam will have multiple choice questions which will include Quantitative Ability, Language Skills, and Logical Reasoning.

  1. Is there a limit to how many times a candidate can appear for the exam?

A candidate can take the NMAT by GMAC up to a maximum of 3 times (first attempt plus 2 retake attempts).

  1. If the candidate completes answering and analyzing the section before the allotted time of the particular section, does the balance time gets added to the next section?

No, the candidate cannot add balance time of one section to the other. If the candidates complete answering and analyzing the section before the allotted time, he or she can either revise for the next section or can move to the next section.

  1. What is the fees for NMAT by GMAC?

  1. How can the candidate know about the results?

Candidates will not be sent any results directly. NMAT by GMAC will announce the scores section wise within 4-5 weeks after the candidate has given the exam. Candidates will be apprised by email on availability of the score reports which a candidate can access by logging into the NMAT by GMAC™ account. Candidate must refer www.nmat.org.in for the announcement of final result dates.

  1. Does the “First come First serve” criteria apply for the Registration or Scheduling or Both?

“First come First serve” criteria for Registration as well as for Scheduling. The candidate who comes early registers and makes a payment, the earlier will be the test scheduled. And the earlier one schedules the test, higher are the chances of getting approved date, time and test location.
