DGLS Learnings

An ex Facebook from University of California Berkeley masters the AI machine learning. He believes that there are three types of people: ones who tolerate, ones who whine and the ones who solve. He believes entrepreneurship is toxic because we don’t really understand it and rather follow only the charisma that follows. Solving problems is the basic mantra to success. Entrepreneurs should be innovators. You can start a company only in 600 bucks. But, until and unless you don’t know how your products work, don’t start a company. First do the research then only give it shot.

This JBIMS alumni is the Hon. Prof of Sales and Marketing of SVIMS. He says connect means connect between self and the business environment and the company you will be working in. First know yourself, only then decide what you aspire to do. Unless you know the disconnect you will not be able to connect. Don’t follow others, be unique. The only aspiration should be that you should to be the best in what you do. Once you are the best, maintain it. Always keep a positive attitude and a good talent. Get rid of the fear. Mantra of success is Bhakti (Dedication), Yukti (Strategy) and Shakti (Power).

He is a Risk Analyst at Credit Suisse. Graduated from IIT B and HBX Core. He tells us that LinkedIn is a great place for networking. It can build a profile greater than the resume. You can look for opportunities in the same organization and gel with your peers. Going the next level requires consistency and engagement. You get your own personal branding. What you about yourself is on you.

Next, we had a NITIE graduate says Never Give up! Do something that you are proud of. Find goals everyday in your life. You should always have goals. Keep learning. Grow fast in your organization and keep going. Discipline is what leads your life. Set targets, commit to them and achieve. Never stop learning

This enigmatic lady from Marico is an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad. She says take charge of what you do and then start your journey. Keep participating in conferences, workshops, GDs to gain as much knowledge as you can. Read a lot about your own field. Connect with surroundings and people. Dream and breathe your work. You are never too young to lead. What breaks you, makes you stronger. Have a 5-year goal and commit to it. Have a delta change, make a difference. Create disruptions to make the change happen.

This CEO of Mirchi and Mime says he was never academic but focuses a great deal on learning. Go for higher learning or a B school to fuel up your learning. An MBA is all about application. Managers symbolize an organization. Managers work within the resources: people, process, information and technology. They alter the pursuit of opportunity. Leaders symbolize control over destiny. Entrepreneurship is not in your blood but in your mind. It is important for business to generate wealth for the society in addition to the business. Integrity and commitment are more important than capability and skill.

He is the Director at Athena and a graduate from SP Jain. Swimming with Sharks was his theme. Competition is the best route for success. Compete with the best. Either you win or you fall down and learn to get up again. You run, you win or you die. Your best ally and best friend is you. Believe in yourself. Follow your dreams. Winners achieve silently and losers sulk publicly. Different styles of leadership are: Warrior like Ram who is honest and leads from front or a lover like Krishna who is smooth and makes others fight for you. Be who you want to be.

He is the founder of CATKing and a Harvard Scholar. Always keep trying for more. Be the number one. Dream big. Never settle for less. Keep struggling hard. It might take a year, it might take  a day, but what’s meant to be will always find its way.
