IPMAT Question paper pattern

IPMAT or the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test is conducted by IIM Indore every year in the month of May. This is the national level test for getting admission to the 5 years Integrated Program in Management offered at IIM Indore. This examination is a computer-based test and held in the month of May and results are declared in the same month. Candidates who clear this first level of test will be called for WAT (Writing Ability Test) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The course is spread across a period of 5 years consisting of 15 terms. Each year has 3 terms of 3 months duration. In this article, we will be discussing the IPMAT question paper pattern in detail

                       

 

  1. Total Questions: There are 100 questions in total.

  2. Time Duration: The exam duration is 2 hours (120 minutes).

  3. Marking Scheme:

    • Each correct answer in the MCQ section carries 4 marks.
    • There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in the MCQ section.
    • There is no negative marking for the Short Answer (SA) questions in the Quantitative Ability section.
  4. Section-wise Time Allocation:

    • Quantitative Ability (MCQ): Time limit of 40 minutes.
    • Quantitative Analysis (SA): Time limit of 40 minutes
    • Verbal Ability: Time limit of 40 minutes.
  5. Order of Sections:

    • Candidates must answer the sections in the pre-specified order, which is the same for all candidates.

IPMAT 2018 was conducted in 28 cities. The application process starts in March and the last date to fill the application will be in the month of April. The exam will be conducted in the month of May. The results of IPMAT will be announced in the month of May itself, candidates who have cleared the exam will be called for WAT and PI. The final selection will be based on the performance in all the three rounds.
