MBA Exam Calendar 2020

MBA entrance exams for admission to 2020-2022 batch to the 20 IIMs and more than 100 top Management Institutions will begin shortly. The registration and exam dates for all of the top MBA entrance exams will be notified soon.

Though there are several management entrance examinations, CAT is the first exam that comes into our minds whenever we discuss the MBA entrance exam. The score of the Common Admission Test is accepted by almost all the B-Schools in India, but there are several other examinations for the MBA aspirants to fulfill their management dreams.

Apart from the renowned Indian Institute of Management, there are several deemed and autonomous universities and institutes which offer the MBA courses. Almost all the B-School of the country select candidates by entrance exam score. But obtaining good marks in the exam does not ensure your selection; you need to perform well in the interview. For that all-around performance, the candidate needs a much time and focused preparation plan. The first step of this preparation plan is to know all the management entrance examinations pan India. Here is the list of the national and state-level management entrance exams which will help the MBA aspirants to make a proper plan of action. Please find below the MBA Exam Calendar.

  1. CAT 2020

Exam Date: November 29, 2020

Exam Level: National

Application Fees: Rs. 2000(GEN), Rs. 1000(Reserved)

Last date to Apply for the Exam: September 18, 2020

Mode of Examination: Online

Colleges accepting CAT: IIMs, SPJIMR, FMS, IITs, IMT, MDI, IMI, TAPMI, etc,

Common Admission Test is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management. It has 100 questions that have to be solved in 180 minutes. It has three sections: Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VARC). There is +3 for every correct answer and -1 for every wrong answer. There is no marks deducted for unattempted question. The no. of questions in VARC- 34, DILR- 32, and QA-34 questions.

2. IIFT 2020

Exam Date: December 6, 2020

Exam Level: Institute

Application Fees: Rs. 2000(GEN), Rs. 1000(Reserved)

Last date to Apply for the Exam: November 3, 2020

Colleges accepting IIFT: IIFT Delhi, Kolkatta, and Kakinada

Mode of Examination: Paper-Based

IIFT is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). It is usually conducted in the month of December after CAT. It has 200 multiple choice- questions that have to be solved within 200 minutes. It has four sections: Verbal Ability(VA), General Knowledge & Awareness(GA), Logical Reasoning(LR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA).

3. SNAP 2020

Exam Date: December 13, 2020

Exam Level: Institute

Application Fees: Rs. 1750

Last date to Apply for the Exam: November 21, 2020

Mode of Examination: Online

Colleges accepting SNAP:  SIBM, SIOM, SCMHRD, and all other Symbiosis

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP is conducted by Symbiosis University. It has 110 questions that have to be solved within 120 minutes. It has four Sections: General English, General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative & Data Interpretation. It is a speed-based exam which tests the aptitude of students.

4. NMAT

Exam Date: Can be given three times in five windows from October 4, 2020, to December 17, 2020

Exam Level: Institute

Application Fees: Rs. 2000

Last date to Apply for the Exam: October 3, 2020

Mode of Examination: Online

Colleges accepting NMAT: All NMIMS across the country, XUB, VIT Vellore, SD Boconi, etc.

NMAT is held over a 75-day test window where student gets a chance to give the exam thrice. It is similar to GMAT. Students have liberty to choose the date, time, the venue a window of the examination as per their convenience. It has 120 multiple choice questions that have to be solved within 120 minutes. It has three sections: Language Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Data Interpretation. It is a time-based examination as you get less than a minute per question. It also has sectional time limit.

5. XAT 2021

Exam Date: January 3, 2021

Exam Level: Institute

Application Fees: Rs. 1700

Last date to Apply for the Exam: November 30, 2020

Mode of Examination: Online

Colleges accepting XAT: XLRI, XIMB, SPJIMR, TAPMI, IMT, etc.

XAT Exam has 100 multiple choice questions that have to be solved within 180 minutes. The essay writing test has been removed from the exam. It has four sections: English & Reasoning, General Knowledge, Decision-Making, and Quantitative Ability.

6. TISSNET 2021

Exam Date: January 10, 2021

Exam Level: Institute

Application Fees: Rs. 1030(GEN) & Rs. 500(Reserved)

Mode of Examination: Online

Colleges accepting TISS: All campus of TISS

Tata Institute of Social Science conducts the TISSNET for admissions to their different campuses. TISS is known for its degree of MA in HR and Management Relation. TISSNET has 100 questions that have to be solved within 100 minutes. It has three sections: English, General Awareness, and Maths & Logical Reasoning.

7. CMAT 2021

Exam Date: January 24, 2021

Exam Level: National

Application Fees: Rs. 1600 (GEN) & Rs. 800(Reserved)

Last date to Apply for the Exam: December 10, 2020

Mode of Examination: Online

Colleges accepting CMAT: JBIMS, SIMSREE, K.J Somaiya, GIM, Welingkar, IFMR, Dalmia, etc.

CMAT has 100 questions that have to be solved within 180 minutes. It has four sections: Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Language Comprehension.

8. MICAT

Exam Date: December 5, 2020, and January 23, 2021 (Can be given twice)

Exam Level: Institute

Application Fees: Rs. 1985

Last date to Apply for the Exam: January 15, 2021

Mode of Examination: Online

Colleges accepting MICAT: MICA

MICAT has 105 questions that have to be solved within 125 minutes. It has six sections: Psychometric, Descriptive, Convergent Reasoning, Verbal Ability, General Awareness, and Quantitative Ability.

9. GMAT

Exam Date: Can be given any time throughout the year

Exam Level: National

Mode of Examination: Online

GMAT has 36 questions that have to be solved within 65 minutes. It also has a sectional time limit. It has four sections: Verbal ability, Quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and analytical writing assessment.

10. MAH-CET 2021

Mode of Examination: Online

Maharashtra DTE conducts the MAH-CET exam. It has 200 questions that have to be solved within 150 minutes. It has four sections: Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation.
