SNAP – Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2018
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude) Test is a nation-wide management admissions test. It is conducted every year by Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU). SNAP test scores are acceptable for admissions to 15 institutes under the SIU umbrella. The scores are also accepted for admissions to various other MBA or equivalent courses.
Previously, the exam was a pen and paper based test but from this year, the authorities have introduced an online-mode for the exam. Since the exam’s inception, this will be the first year that it will be conducted on the computer.
The SNAP schedule for this year has not been announced yet while it was conducted on 17 Dec 2017.
It is generally a 2 hour duration exam and is conducted in over 102 cities all over India.
Each year, an interactive session of ‘SNAP IT’ is conducted by SCHMRD in 15 cities and 17 locations of India to help the MBA aspirants clear any issues or doubts they might be facing during the exam preparation. SNAP IT was held on December 10 and 11, 2016, last year. The usual discussion generally includes any changes in the exam pattern and ways to tackle them. Also, key aspects of the interviews and group discussions are also discussed upon by the members of SCHMRD, who share their personal experience to shed light on the topic at hand. The aspirants are provided a take on the other exams as well.

The Eligibility criteria of SNAP 2018 is as follows:
- Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with atleast 50% marks (in case of general category) or 45% (for SC/ST candidates) for admissions to the Master of Business Programs.
- Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible for SNAP.
- There is no set age limit for SNAP test.
- Specific subject specializations require a previous degree in the same field.

Step 1:Fill the Application Form.
Candidates willing to appear for SNAP 2018 need to first fill in the application form. It can be done so on the official website of SNAP. Offline application forms are not available.
Candidates need to register for the SNAP institutes and the institutes which offer other MBA programs separately. Rs 1500 is the application fee for the exam while for each institute and Rs 1000 for each program. For registrations in different programs, the candidates need to visit the individual institute’s website. Candidates can apply through credit card/ net banking, cash payment, demand drafts.
Candidates who are appearing for SNAP 2018 can download their admit cards provided on the official website. It can be done so by using the candidate’s email and password. The candidate also needs a passport sized photograph for the admit card which is duly attested by a gazetted officer.
Step 3:Appear for SNAP 2018 exam
It is conducted in an offline mode and the exam takers are allotted 120 minutes to solve the exam carrying 150 marks. Candidates will be assessed on General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, General Knowledge, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. Only Black and Blue ball pens must be used to answer the question papers.
Step 4:Check SNAP 2018 Results
SNAP 2017 results can be expected within a month from the date of the examination. The scorecard will be available on the official website. Candidates can download their result by providing their respective SNAP ID and password.
The final merit list for admission to the various MBA programs offered by SIU will be based on Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). SNAP test score out of 180 is generally scaled down to 50. Candidates who secure their names in the final merit list will be further called for admission process.

Group Exercise PI and Writing Ability Test at SCIT, Pune was held between Feb 2-4 and 09-11, 2018.
Exam takers can only apply on the official website of SNAP (SNAP website link) as the provision of offline application is not available. Also, the aspirants have to upload their latest coloured photograph with the application form to establish their identity.

SNAP 2018 will be conducted online. The authorities have moved away with the conventional pen-paper based exam to computer based test.
The pattern for SNAP 2018 is as follows:
- SNAP 2018 test will be online SNAP Test duration is of 120 minutes
- The exam will commence at 2pm and will conclude at 4 pm
- SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has 4 responses. Candidate should choose an appropriate response
- Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks

SNAP Exam Analysis
The analysis of SNAP 2017 is as follows:
The last SNAP exam was full of surprises. It was conducted by Symbiosis International Deemed University, for admission to its various MBA programmes offered by its business schools. This year, for the first time, the exam was conducted in an offline mode and there was also an inclusion of infographics in the Reasoning section.

Candidates willing to apply for SNAP must fill in the application form carefully. Authorities will reject the applications having incomplete or incorrect information.
To apply for SNAP 2018, candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:
1.Visit the official website
2.Click on the ‘apply’ tab in the homepage
3.The candidate will be redirected a nee page having the SNAP form
4.Enter all the required details. Make sure you enter a valid email ID and a working phone number
5.Upload a recent passport sized scanned colour photograph
6.Click submit. Make sure you check all the details before submitting the form. Details once submitted cannot be edited
7.Once the form is submitted, candidate will receive a SNAP ID. The same ID will be used for future reference
8.After the registration details are complete, the candidate needs to pay the application fee of Rs 1500.
Admit cards for SNAP 2018 will be made available once the application process gets over. Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website. Candidates must note that the admit card will be allotted only to those candidates who register successfully for the exam
Candidates can download the admit cards by following these steps:

5.Download and take a printout of the same
Once the admit card is printed, candidates must check for the following details:

After the admit card is printed, a passport size colored photograph attested by a Gazetted Officer needs to be pasted on the admit card. Candidates are also advised to carry any of the following IDs along with the admit card to the exam hall:

Candidates must note that the admit card is an important document that needs to be carried to the exam hall. Also, it is advisable to keep the admit card safely until the entire admission process gets over. In case the admit card is lost, a duplicate Admit Card will not be issued.
