The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) serves as a gateway to the 20+ MBA programs offered by Symbiosis International University (SIU) and its affiliates. Every year, over 60,000 people apply for SNAP and compete for a restricted number of admission spots. The SNAP notification has been issued, and registrations will begin at the end of August.
Overview
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude) Exam is a nationwide management admissions test. It is conducted every year by Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU). SNAP test scores are acceptable for admissions to 15 institutes under the SIU umbrella. The scores are also accepted for admissions to various other MBA or equivalent courses.Previously, the exam was a pen and paper-based test but the authorities have introduced an online mode for the exam.It is generally a 2-hour duration exam and is conducted in over 102 cities all over India.

SNAP 2022 analysis
The SNAP Test is a common aptitude test administered by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University for admission to MBA/PGDM programs offered by its 15 constituent institutes. Symbiosis Institute Bangalore and Pune, are ranked among Tier 1 B-schools of India in terms of MBA courses and placement offers. SNAP will be conducted on 18th December, 8th January, and 15th January this year. This exam is considered comparatively easier than CAT and XAT, and hence scoring 99 percentile and above should not be a tough task for aspirants preparing for CAT.
General English has a sectional good score of 10, A-LR has a score of 18-19, and QA, DI-DS has a score of 12-14. Let's have a look at the SNAP 2022 question paper and analysis in sections.

Quantitative, Data Interpretation, and Data Sufficiency
There were 20 questions in this part of SNAP 2022. The majority of the problems were from Arithmetic, with only one Data Interpretation topic. This year, there was no Data Sufficiency question. To complete the SNAP application form, you must meet the following qualifying criteria:

The candidate must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
-
Those in the general category must have at least a 50% average in their undergraduate degree.
-
SC/ST candidates must have received at least 45% of the marks in their undergraduate degree/certificate.

Candidates who have attended a foreign (international) university may also apply. To complete the application form, they must first receive the AIU certificate (Association of Indian Universities).

Students in their final year of high school can also apply for the SNAP exam.
SNAP Exam Cut-off
The SNAP cut-off is released by participating institutes after the declaration of the SNAP result. Some institutes also have sectional cut-offs.

SNAP entrance exam is scheduled three times a year, but a student can apply for a maximum of 2 attempts for the exam. Final percentile calculation is based on the best of the two attempts’ score.

Key highlights:
1. There is 25% negative marking per incorrect answer
2. There is no sectional time limit. Students must attempt 60 questions in 60 minutes
3. Maximum of 2 voluntary attempts of the exam is allowed
4. There will be no special questions in SNAP exam since 2020 (after-covid)
SNAP Exam Strategy
in 60 minutes. Time management is of utmost importance here.
2. There is negative marking which puts additional pressure on students
3. Order of attempting sections is not important since there is no sectional time limit.
But since few colleges may have sectional cut-offs, good attempts should be made
across all sections.
4. Students should attempt the sections as per their strength.
5. Preparation for SNAP is done mostly through CAT and NMAT exams. There may be
few additional topics which should be practiced separately through mocks.
Sectional Strategy
1. General English:
a. Have a good command on vocabulary as they are dominant in SNAP exam
b. Practice previous year papers to understand the standard of RCs and Verbal
section – Reasoning, Grammar, etc.
2. Analytical and Logical Reasoning:
a. Practice all types of topics through sectional mocks and time-bound
b. This section is typically very scoring compared to other sections
c. Do not make any assumptions rather focus on facts
3. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency:
a. Build conceptual clarity and practice shortcuts
b. Focus on improving calculation speed and solving case studies related to Data
Interpretation
c. Memorizing tables and charts like squares, cubes, etc. usually prover very
helpful because of the 60-min overall time limit which is minimal compared
to other exams.
