HPTU to start BTech and MBA Courses From its Lahaul and Spiti Campus:
HPTU to start BTech and MBA courses from its Kukumseri campus located in Lahaul-Spiti. The 21 by 21 plan of HPTU has also been announced, unveiling the plans of the university to upskill their faculty and upgrade their infrastructure facilities. Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Hamirpur has announced that it will start offering two new courses this season. The new courses announced by HPTU are a BTech in Computer Science course and an MBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management course.
Both of these courses will be made available from the Kukumseri campus in the Lahaul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh. These courses were announced by Ram Lal Markanda, Minister of Technical Education of HP, in a bid to connect job courses according to current trends. He also added that the university would increase the annual intake of more demanding courses and reduce the number of seats receiving fewer applications.
CAT Online Course curated by IIM, SPJain toppers HPTU usually conducts the HP Common Entrance Test (HPCET) for admission to its BTech and MBA courses.
But HPCET 2020 was postponed due to the pandemic threat of COVID-19.

Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Final year undergraduate students can also apply. For Business Analytics, applicants with BTech/BCA/MCA/BSc/BSc (Economics) or any other undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with computer science as one of the electives will be preferred.

- BMU accepts CAT/ NMAT/GRE/GMAT/CMAT/XAT or BMU-MAT (BMU’s Management Aptitude Test) test scores
- Work experience is preferred, but not mandatory
According to the revised BTech, 2020 Admission Process by HPTU, half of the seats in BTech courses will be filled using JEE Main scores, while the remaining seats will be filled based on the 12th grade.
MBA admission to HPTU will also be performed using alternate exam scores such as CAT / MAT / CMAT, etc.
