IIM Shillong Interview, the Cutoff 2020 is the minimum marks required to qualify for getting a call from the institute to participate in the further rounds of admission. The candidates interested in pursuing management courses from IIM Shillong will be required to appear for CAT 2020 and clear the cutoff for getting shortlisted. Apart from the cutoff, IIM-S uses multiple parameters for shortlisting the candidates such as past academic performance in 10th, 12th & graduation, work experience, etc. The shortlisted candidates are then required to appear for the Writing Skills Assessment Test (WSAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

- However, overall performance was not up to the mark due to lack of general awareness and history knowledge, as most questions were from these areas.

- Mentioned that this growth is because of the large amount of domestic consumption.
- M1: As you mentioned domestic consumption, there are three types of economies – consumption-based, export-based, investment-based. Classify.
- (I gave an example of China in export-based and explained it. I explained investment-based but couldn’t think of an example.)
- M1: Is the US consumption-based or investment-based?
- (I said I didn’t mention the US as I wasn’t sure if it is investment-based or consumption-based, but if I had to take a guess, I would say it is investment-based. (It is consumption-based.))
- Mentioned how FIIs are pulling out their money from the Indian market and putting it in the Chinese market as the Indian market is overvalued; its P/E ratio touched almost 18-20% as compared to China, which has a P/E ratio of just 10%.

- Ask abt my gap year after grads and what I did during that time
- Asked about my BTech Project and went into details of it (looked like panelist was of Mech background with very sound knowledge)
Overall a good one except for acad questions on manufacturing domain. Panelist were not grilling and were patient.
One thing that was common for almost everyone there was that they are asking on Acads and GK Current Affairs (can be around till 6 months old as well). So a suggestion to be updated with it.
