IIM Kozhikode scholarship is offered to meritorious  & needy students. IIM Kozhikode scholarships include Merit Scholarships, Need-Based Financial Assistance, and Govt scholarships. IIM Kozhikode Scholarship based on Merit is awarded to the 1st and 2nd-year students of Post Graduate Programmes (PGP, PGPLSM, and PGPFIN).  The number of scholarships awarded is in the ratio of one scholarship for every 20 students in the first and second years.

IIM Kozhikode Scholarship to needy students is Need Based Financial Assistance (NBFA). The need-based IIM Kozhikode scholarship is offered to Students whose gross annual family income for the last financial year is less than or equal to Rs.8 lakhs; and to the students who have availed an education loan from scheduled commercial banks to fund their studies. Only one assistance will be offered. 

Apart from these scholarships, the IIM Kozhikode scholarship scheme also includes the Central Government Scholarships offered to various categories of students.

1. Offered by the Institute

a. IIMK Merit Scholarship
The IIMK Merit Scholarship is granted to first and second-year students of the Post Graduate Programs (PGP, PGPLSM, and PGPFIN) based on their academic performance, specifically their CGPA, during the academic year. Scholarships are awarded at a ratio of one for every 20 students in both the first and second years.

b. IIMK Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA)
The IIMK Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) is available under the following eligibility criteria:

  • Students whose gross annual family income for the previous financial year is less than or equal to INR 8 lakhs.
  • Students who have obtained an education loan from scheduled commercial banks to finance their studies at the institute.
  • Students must provide loan disbursement details in the prescribed format issued by the bank to qualify for the IIMK NBFA for their second year.
  • Scholarship recipients should not have engaged in any acts of indiscipline or misconduct at the institute.

To apply for IIMK NBFA, students must meet all the eligibility criteria. Those receiving multiple scholarships or grants must return all but one of them. The Financial Aid Committee (FAC) will prepare a final rank list based on the financial scores obtained during the evaluation. In the case of a tie-in financial score, preference will be given to the student with the lowest gross annual income. The FAC will finalize the amount of financial assistance awarded.

2. Offered by the Central Government

a. Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students
This scholarship, provided by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, is available to students from the SC category based on their annual parental income from all sources in the previous financial year, with a maximum limit of INR 8,00,000. Currently, a maximum of 10 scholarships can be allotted to IIM Kozhikode.

b. National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students
Offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, this scholarship is for students in the ST category, based on their annual parental income from all sources for the previous financial year, with a maximum income limit of INR 6,00,000. There are no limits on the number of slots based on institute, state, or stream.

c. Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses
Administered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, this scholarship is available to students from minority communities who have secured at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in their last examination. The maximum annual income limit is INR 2,50,000. The minority communities recognized include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians (Parsis).

d. Scholarships for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities
This scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities to students with disabilities of 40% or more, who possess a valid disability certificate as per the regulations issued by the competent authority. The maximum income limit for parents or guardians from all sources should not exceed INR 8,00,000.

e. Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for Wards of CAPFs, Assam Rifles & State Police Personnel
Administered by the Ministry of Home Affairs, this scholarship is for the wards and widows of personnel from CAPFs & AR who have died while in service or were disabled due to government service, as well as for the wards of ex-personnel who have received gallantry awards. Applicants must have a minimum of 60% marks in their Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ), which is either 10+2, Diploma, or Graduation.

3. Offered by State Governments

a. Rajarshee Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship
Provided by the Government of Maharashtra, this scholarship is available to applicants who are domiciled in Maharashtra or belong to the border regions of Maharashtra and Karnataka, and who are part of the Maratha community. The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources.

b. Scholarship Scheme for the Government of Tamil Nadu
This scholarship, offered by the Government of Tamil Nadu, is available to native students from the BC/MBC/DNC communities, with a maximum income limit of INR 2,00,000.

4. Offered by Private Organizations

a. IDFC First Bank MBA Scholarship
This scholarship is offered by IDFC First Bank to students who secure admission to B-schools on their merit. Applicants must have a parental/guardian income from all sources not exceeding INR 6 lakhs per annum. It is open only to Indian nationals residing in India. Only first-year students in two-year full-time MBA programs at selected MBA/PGDM colleges are eligible. The scholarship amount is INR 1 lakh per student, per academic year.

b. Mirae Asset Foundation (MAF) Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by the Mirae Asset Foundation to meritorious and needy students in their first and second years of PGP, whose combined family income is below INR 8 lakhs. The scholarship amount is INR 5,00,000 per student and is awarded based on interviews conducted for shortlisted candidates by MAF.

c. Aditya Birla Group Scholarship
Offered by the Aditya Birla Group, this scholarship is available to the top 20 first-year students, selected based on criteria established by the group. The scholarship is awarded based on a written test and interview conducted by the Aditya Birla Group. Awardees can continue to receive the scholarship in their second year if they rank among the top 25 students based on CGPA from the first year. The scholarship amount is INR 1,75,000 per student per year.

d. OP Jindal Engineering & Management Scholarship (OPJEMS)
This scholarship is available to the top 10 students from both the first and second years of the PGP program, selected based on criteria set by OP Jindal. The scholarship amount is INR 1,50,000 per student per year.
