Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies -[JBIMS] Scholarships 2025

The "JBIMS 1981 Annual Memorial Awards" were established in 2006 during the silver jubilee of JBIMS’s class of 1981. The concept was initiated by Mr. Gopal Rajgopalan, Mr. Ashwini Malhotra, and Mr. Ashok Saraf. The untimely passing of two classmates from the 1981 batch inspired the creation of the Sabeena Bakshi Award and the Ram Mohan Menon Award to honor their memory and to recognize academic excellence among first-year Master in Management Studies students.

Following the passing of Mr. Gopal Rajgopalan, the batch instituted a third award, the Gopal Rajgopalan Award for Distinction in Finance and Entrepreneurship, to commemorate his legacy.

Subsequently, with the loss of three more beloved members—Mr. John Samuel, Mr. Uday Kulkarni, and Mr. Sudhir Yadav—the awards were collectively renamed as the JBIMS 1981 Annual Memorial Awards. Each award includes a plaque and a cash prize, funded by returns from a corpus built through donations from the 1981 batch and other supporters.
