The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a computer-based MBA entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of AICTE. The CMAT 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in January 2027, with registration likely opening in November 2026 and closing in December 2026. Candidates register online through the official NTA portal and appear for a single examination attempt in the admission cycle.
It is accepted by JBIMS, SIMSREE, Welingkar, PUMBA, K J Somaiya, BIMTECH, GIM and 1000+ AICTE-approved MBA/PGDM colleges across India. Shortlisted candidates proceed to the institute-specific admission process, which may include Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview rounds.
CMAT is not just a test of content knowledge, it is a test of speed, accuracy and time management across five sections. Dates below are based on the completed CMAT 2026 cycle conducted by NTA. Final CMAT 2027 dates will be confirmed when the official notification is released (expected October–November 2026). CMAT is conducted as a single-day computer-based test.
NCMAT 2026 was held on 25 January 2026 in CBT mode across India. A single exam was conducted for all candidates with no retakes or multiple attempts. Results were declared on 19 February 2026.

Online application at cmat.nta.nic.in . Fee ₹2,500 for General Male candidates and ₹1,250 for everyone else. Pick your preferred test centre and slot. Choose your exam city preferences during registration; NTA assigns the final test centre based on availability.
