The SNAP exam, conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) [SIU], is an entrance test for admission to 26 MBA programs across 16 institutes. The 2023 registration opened on August 23 and closed on November 23. The exam consists of 60 questions to be completed in 60 minutes, with negative marking, emphasizing speed, accuracy, and time management. There is no sectional time limit, allowing candidates to attempt sections in their preferred order. However, good attempts across all sections are recommended, especially for colleges with sectional cut-offs. Candidates can attempt SNAP three times, with the best score considered.

To apply for SNAP, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Visit the official website
    2. Click on the ‘apply’ tab on the homepage
    3. The candidate will be redirected to a new page having the SNAP form
    4. Enter all the required details. Make sure you enter a valid email ID and a working phone number
    5. Upload a recent passport-sized scanned color photograph
    6. Click submit. Make sure you check all the details before submitting the form. Details once submitted cannot be edited
    7. Once the form is submitted, the candidate will receive a SNAP ID. The same ID will be used for future reference
    8. After the registration details are complete, the candidate needs to pay the application fee of Rs 1950.

Selection Process Description

  1. Written Ability Test (WAT):

    • Students are given 2 questions.
    • Each question requires a 100-200 word response.
    • Total time: 5-10 minutes.
  2. Group Exercise (GE):

    • Students participate in a case study or group activity.
    • Unique tasks like watching a video, listening to an audio clip, or creating a story from pictures may be given for discussion.
  3. Personal Interview (PI):

    • One-on-one interaction with a panel from the college the student is applying to.
