The XAT exam (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level MBA entrance test conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI for admission to its flagship MBA and PGDM programmes. Along with XLRI and other XAMI member institutes, more than 700+ B-schools in India accept XAT scores for admission to their management programmes.
The latest XAT exam pattern consists of around 95 questions divided into four key sections:
• Verbal & Logical Ability
• Decision Making
• Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
• General Knowledge
The Decision Making section is unique to XAT and plays a major role in shortlisting, which sets the exam apart from CAT, NMAT, SNAP, and other MBA entrance tests.
Overall, the XAT Exam remains one of India’s most important management entrance exams for aspirants targeting XLRI and other top B-schools.
