The CMAT Exam is a computer-based online entrance test with a duration of 180 minutes and 100 multiple choice questions with max marks of 400 spread across the following four sections. Incorrect answers will carry a penalty of 1 mark. The exam is conducted in nine days in two shifts and the better of two scores will be used for the admission process.
 
 

CMAT Exam pattern

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a computer-based online entrance test used for admission to management programs in India. It's crucial to stay informed about the revised CMAT 2024 exam pattern, given the consistent alterations made by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to the CMAT pattern in recent years.
 
 
The CMAT 2024 assessment will consist of five sections, each containing 20 questions, with all questions carrying equal weight in terms of scoring. This makes for a total of 100 questions across all sections, and the cumulative maximum score for all five sections amounts to 400 marks.   • The candidate should be an Indian citizen
  • He/she should have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Final Year Graduation students whose results will be announced before the admission process are also allowed
  • Graduates with 50% in any discipline
  • No age limit

CMAT Strategies to Crack Quant and DI:

  • Candidates are required to be aware of their strengths and weaknesses in different topics.
  • Stay away from tricky questions that would slow down.
  • To excel play for accuracy rather than speed as it plays a pivotal role in determining the final score, the speed with follow naturally.
  • To memorize all the formulas regularly, sticky notes should be used as quite some direct formulas-substitution kinda questions are expected.
  • Keep faith in your mental strength while attempting the paper is what makes all the difference
  • Strongly believe that the exam hall is not a ground to do R&D; so, stay safe to attempt those question types that you are familiar with and maximize your chances.
  • A quick skim of the question paper would help identify Angels and Demons. Angels are typically easy questions that should not be missed while Demons are pretty touched questions that should not be touched.
  • Sometimes options help us to decide the answers by substitution, elimination of choices, and the level of calculation techniques. So before attempting the questions always have a look at them.
  • Shortcuts are always ethical practices to save time and an easy way to solve some tricky questions.

Tips and Tricks for Data Interpretation-

  • Most of the questions from Data interpretation would be from Pie charts/graphs/Bar charts/Tables.
  • Questions on percentage change are very frequent. These questions can be solved based on appropriation techniques rather than finding an exact solution that may eat up time.
  • Read the questions carefully and use the facts and figures that are given. Never assume any such information, which is not provided.

General Awareness includes static General Knowledge and Current Affairs which are based on National and International issues. The Static GK includes a wide range of topics like History, Geography, Economy, Companies and Brands, Indian Political System and Constitution, Organization, Science and Technology, Sports, Awards & Recognitions, Books & Authors, corporations, Business Affairs, Share Markets, Miscellaneous, etc.

Strategy to Prepare for CMAT GK  

The best way is to use sticky notes for questions that you feel are concentrated. To cover Static GK one can simply go through Manorama Year Books and a candidate must be aware of the last 90 days' current affairs. None will be a master for GK in a single day, it must be a continuous effort and must be aware of things happening around the world.
