The CAT 2024 exam is scheduled for November 24, 2024, and will serve as a key step for admission to the 21 IIMs and top MBA colleges across India. IIM Calcutta will be conducting this year’s exam. As per the official CAT notification released on July 28, 2024, the registration process will open on August 1, 2024, and close on September 20, 2024.
CAT Registration Process
The application correction window for CAT 2024, managed by IIM Calcutta, has officially closed as of September 30, 2024. Candidates had the opportunity to rectify limited errors in their applications, which could only be edited once, and this facility was available from September 27. The registration for CAT 2024 concluded on September 20 at 5 PM.
The CAT 2024 exam is scheduled for November 24, 2024. In addition to the 21 IIMs, the CAT scores will be accepted by the top seven IITs, FMS Delhi, IIFT, SPJIMR, and numerous other leading MBA colleges in India.

Registration Process:
- Create a Profile: Visit iimcat.ac.in and register as a new user to receive your user ID and password.
- Fill Application Form: Complete personal details, academic history, work experience, preferred IIM programs, and exam cities.
- Payment: Pay the registration fee of Rs. 2500 (Rs. 1250 for SC/ST/PWD candidates) through online methods like credit/debit cards or net banking.
Important Guidelines for Document Upload:
- Photograph: 1200 x 1200 pixels, maximum size 1 MB, must have a white background, and be recent (within 6 months).
- Signature: JPEG format, maximum size 80 KB.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks for general candidates (45% for reserved categories) or appearing in the final year of graduation.
