The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG, conducted by the National Testing Agency, is for admission to postgraduate courses at Central Universities and participating colleges. The selection process includes an online written exam followed by counseling conducted by participating institutes. In 2023, 142 universities, including Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia, GGS IP University, IIIT Lucknow, and others, participated in the exam.
CUET 2022 Analysis
Aspirants who took the CUET 2022 exam stated that the exam was easy to moderate in difficulty and that the questions were on expected lines. The exam's difficulty level varied according to the domain subjects. Those who took the Humanities subject found the questions to be time-consuming and lengthy. On the other hand, some students who took the Mathematics exam said it was difficult to manage time because there were 40 problems to answer in 45 minutes. It took more than a minute to answer a difficult question.
Language Section Analysis
The Language section was mandatory for all candidates. According to the candidates, this section was quite easier than the other sections. The question types were very simple that included questions like identifying the spelling error, matching the questions, jumbled sentences, and Reading Comprehension among others. It was not challenging to ace this section.
General Test
This part was easy to moderately difficult. While the majority of the candidates found the questions to be simple and straightforward, some found this section to be challenging. The GK and Current Affairs questions may have been difficult for pupils who had not prepared well for these subjects or who do not read newspapers on a regular basis. The additional questions on Numerical Ability and Reasoning were optional to attempt unless prescribed by the papers chosen.
Domain Subjects
As previously noted, the difficulty level of the domain-wise segment varied by subject. The overall difficulty might be classified as moderate. Some of the questions took a long time to answer and required conceptual clarity and knowledge to understand. MCQs, Case Study Based, and Fact-Based questions were used.
