The CAT 2026 will take place on November 29, 2026, in online mode across 170 cities. Its scores will be accepted by 21 IIMs and over 1,200 B-schools across India for admission into postgraduate management programs. The official notification will be released somewhere in July end, with registration starting from August first week (tentative). The notification will provide key details, including the exam date, registration schedule, admit card release, and result announcement, enabling candidates to plan their preparations and complete all exam-related steps on time.

CAT Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PwD/DA category) from a recognized university.
  • Final-year bachelor’s students or those awaiting results are also eligible to apply for CAT 2025.

Please Note:

  • Candidates with professional degrees (CA/CS/ICWA) can apply, provided they meet the minimum percentage criteria.
  • There is no upper age limit, allowing working professionals to apply.
  • Work experience is not mandatory for CAT application, but it is beneficial for IIM admissions.

CAT Exam 2025 Registration Process:

To register for CAT 2025, follow these steps on the official IIMCAT website:

  1. Visit the official website: https://iimcat.ac.in/
  2. Click on ‘New Registration’.
  3. Fill in your name, date of birth, nationality, phone number, and email ID.
  4. Complete the CAPTCHA and verify your registration through the OTP sent to your phone.
  5. Use the CAT 2025 ID received via email to log in and continue with the application.
  6. Enter your personal and academic details.
  7. Upload a recent passport-size photograph and a scanned signature.
  8. Choose your preferred IIMs, courses, and test cities.
  9. Pay the application fee using a credit/debit card or net banking

Important Documents for CAT Exam 2025:

  • Photograph:

    • Must be a recent photo (max 6 months old) with a white or off-white background.
    • Dimensions: 30mm x 45mm.
    • Maximum size: 1 MB.
    • Format: JPEG or JPG.

  • Signature:

    • Maximum size: 80 KB.
    • Dimensions: 80mm x 35mm.
    • Format: JPEG or JPG.

  • Category Certificate (if applicable):

    • Required formats: SC/ST / NC-OBC / EWS.

  • Disability Certificate (if applicable):

    • Required formats: PwD Form V / VI / VII.

  • Academic Details:

    • 10th Grade
    • 12th Grade
    • Graduation
    • Masters/Professional Degree (if applicable).
    • Note: Convert CGPA/Grades to percentages.

  • Work Experience:

    • Provide details of full-time experience after graduation until July 31, 2025.

Important Note:

  • Use a scanner for document uploads; mobile devices are not recommended for scanning photos, signatures, or certificates.
