About Vedica Scholars Programme for Women

Vedica empowers urban, educated women who, as catalysts of change, create a more equal social, economic and political reality. Our mission is to enable women to lead lives of dignity through career-led financial independence. The core pillars of our operating framework are advocacy, awareness and action. These are actualized through our higher-education programme, the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women; and network of senior women professionals, the Vedica Women’s Alliance (V-WA). Vedica seeks to shape the ecosystem of ‘women and work’ to ensure a future for women with equal access, participation and influence at the workplace.

The Vedica Scholars Program for Women is a one-of-a-kind MBA alternative for women. The objective of the programme is to train women with potential for rewarding professions and to develop a cadre of successful female professionals for the twenty-first century. It’s an 18-month full-time residential programme with a reimagined multidisciplinary curriculum that’s been meticulously created to meet today’s employer requirements.

Vedica Women’s Alliance (V-WA) is a membership-based organisation whose mission is to bring together, advocate for, and amplify the voices of women leaders from across India, as well as to create an environment in which women professionals can thrive. We want to increase the number of professional women and their influence. V-WA provides a reliable forum for stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue in order to raise awareness and advocate for change in relevant issues and policy. Read More

Placements Process

Vedica takes roughly four months to complete the placement procedure. The Scholars are prepared to conduct effective interviews and pursue occupations of their choice thanks to a variety of placement preparation events that range from presentations by industry experts to one-on-one private discussions. Pre-placement talks (PPT) by recruiters with national and worldwide reach, as well as sharing opportunities, kick off the placement process.

The discussions are on the companies’ beliefs, culture, work ethos, and expectations. Vedica then follows the placement procedure of the relevant firm, which may involve Expressions of Interest, multiple interview rounds, GDs, tests, technical rounds, and so on. The student-led Career Development Committee collaborates closely with the Programme Team throughout the process, sharpening the cohorts’ skill sets and ensuring the process goes smoothly.
