XAT 2023 Sectionwise Expected Cutoffs | Score Vs. Percentile | MBA Preparation
Sumit Singh Gandhi (Rahul), CEO & Director of CATKing Educare had a session with the students on comparison of last year’s score and percentile. He said, ‘I don’t think there is going to be so much of difference between last’s and this year’s cut-off for XAT. If you get 44 in XAT, you will be above 99.5%ile. For 99%ile, QADI’s (Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation’s) cut-off is 17. VALR’s (Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning) cut-off is 14.75 and Decision Making (DM) is 12.5 for 99%ile. 100% you will get a call from XLRI (Xavier Institute of Management).’ Rahul Sir then moved forward to XAT’s GK scores. For 97%ile, the students should score above 14.25 in Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (QADI), 13.25 in Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VALR), and 12.5 in Decision Making (DM). The overall should be 32.8.
XLRI BM Cutoff (Engineer = Non-Engineer)
XLRI HRM Cutoff
For 95%ile, the students should score above 12.75 in Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, 12 in Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VALR), and 10.5 in Decision Making. Rahul Sir said, ‘The students above 95%ile, I remember discussing with Yash as well. If you score 12 in every section, I have told this in the class before. If you score 12 & above in two sections and 16 in the other sections, you will be able to score 99%ile.
I had predicted this about the score vs percentile. It’s fantastic that the 95%ile is only at 30.25.’ For 90%ile, the students should score above 10.5 in Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (QADI), 10.5 in Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VALR), and 9.5 in Decision Making (DM). The overall should be 27. For 85%ile, the students should score above 9 in Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (QADI), 9.5 in Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VALR), and 8.75 in Decision Making. The overall should be 24. For 80%ile, the students should score above 7.5 for Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (QADI), but the quant cut-off may fall. Whereas, the Verbal Ability (VA) section was on the easier side so the cut-off may increase. And, even Decision Making‘s (DM’s) the cut-off can increase moderately.
But overall, the XAT exam cut-off was on a similar line as the previous year. So in this way, Rahul Sir ended this session here, ‘God bless you guys! Thank you so much! Keep killing! Take care!’.
