The Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is a master’s level programme, leading to the grant of a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA). The two-year, full-time, residential programme is designed to equip students to take on leadership roles in an increasingly complex and dynamic global scenario. Each year consists of three trimesters, with 8 weeks of summer internship.

IIM Jammu Admission Process and Important Dates 2025
This document summarizes the approach of IIM Jammu to prepare the admission list for its MBA Batch 2024-26. The batch size is likely to be around 300. IIM Jammu reserves the right to modify any part of this document, including the various criteria and cut-offs mentioned at any time till the actual admission process for the batch is completed.
The admission process of IIM Jammu consists of:
- CAT Examination
- Shortlisting the candidates for Personal Interview (PI) process
- Conducting the Personal Interview (PI) process: The 10 IIMs (IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Nagpur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy, and IIM Udaipur) together will conduct Personal Interview (PI) through Common Admission Process (CAP 2024 process) to be coordinated this year by IIM Udaipur.
- In addition to the Common Admission Process as mentioned, IIM Jammu will conduct an additional Supplementary Admission Process (SAP 2024) for candidates who meet IIM Jammu PI shortlisting criteria but do not meet the CAP 2024 cut off criteria.
- Preparing the Merit List based on CAT, PI, and Profile scores are indicated in the following tables.
- Last date for withdrawal of Provisional admission offer and refund of Fee Paid: 05:30 PM, June 20th, 2024 (Tentative date)
Criteria for Preparing the Merit List
The criteria for preparing the merit list will be based on the score obtained after adding the following:
- CAT Score: 0.4 × Absolute CAT Percentile
- Personal Interview (PI): 30 Marks
- Profile : 30 Marks
The above three scores shall be added and will be used to make the final merit list.
2.1 CAT Score (40% weightage)
IIM Jammu will use CAT 2023 score. One candidate can get maximum 40 marks

The admission process consists of several stages: the CAT Examination, shortlisting for the Personal Interview (PI), participation in the Common Admission Process (CAP) for 10 IIMs, and an additional Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) for candidates meeting IIM Jammu’s PI criteria but not the CAP cutoff.
The CAP process for 2024 includes IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Nagpur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy, and IIM Udaipur. This year, CAP will be coordinated by IIM Udaipur.
The SAP (Supplementary Admission Process) is an additional interview process specifically for candidates who meet IIM Jammu’s PI shortlisting criteria but do not qualify for the CAP cutoff. It gives eligible candidates a chance to be evaluated separately for admission to IIM Jammu.
The final merit list is prepared based on the scores obtained in the CAT exam, the PI performance, and profile scores, as outlined by IIM Jammu’s admission criteria.
The tentative deadline for withdrawal of a provisional admission offer with a refund of fees is 5:30 PM on June 20th, 2024.

JAMMU: With a motto to provide cross-cultural exposure and a global perspective to the students, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu under International Students Exchange Programme (SEP) has decided to offer 20 scholarships of Rs 1.5 lakh each for meritorious students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) to participate in the Students Exchange programme (SEP) and Academic International Events every year.
IIM Jammu spokesperson said, "The Students Exchange Programme (SEP) initiated by the institute has become increasingly popular among the students."
Speaking on the occasion, Prof BS Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu said, “As an Institute of national importance, we seek to equip our students with a globally inclusive management education covering all aspects of management of institutions of the future."
