Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIMT) is the eleventh IIM and was instituted on 4th January 2011. Admission Process 2026

IIM Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) follows an entrance-based admission process. Admission to the PGPM/MBA programs is granted through the Common Admission Test (CAT), followed by a personal interview. For PhD admissions, candidates with valid scores in CAT, GMAT, GRE, IIMB Test, or UGC-JRF are eligible to apply, and shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview.

The institute offers a range of postgraduate and doctoral programs, including PGPM, PGPM-HR, E-PGP, FPM, and E-PhD, with PGPM being the flagship course. Additionally, IIM Trichy provides scholarships to eligible candidates.

IIM Trichy has successfully concluded the placements for its 2024 batch of the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) and Post Graduate Program in Human Resources (PGPM-HR). According to the placement report, the highest and average packages offered to the PGPM batch were INR 43.69 LPA and INR 19.43 LPA, respectively. The institute attracted over 192 industry leaders, resulting in 329 job offers for the PGPM batch. IIM Tiruchirappalli Cutoff 2026

The CAT Cutoff for IIM Trichy 2024, for MBA admissions, has not yet been released. IIM Trichy publishes two types of cutoffs: a) the Qualifying CAT Cutoff, and b) the Final CAT Cutoff. To be eligible for the CAT Final Exam (WAT and PI), candidates must meet the minimum Qualifying Cutoff. Typically, the Final CAT Cutoff is higher than the Qualifying Cutoff. Based on the IIM Trichy Cutoff 2023, the Overall Qualifying Percentile for candidates in the General/EWS category was 94, while for NC-OBC category candidates, it was 77.
