Admission Process 

1. Admission for these courses will be made on the basis of merit determined by scores of the candidates in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 conducted by IIMs, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI). All candidates aspiring to apply for MBA Programmes at UBS must have taken the Common Admission Test (CAT) - 2022 conducted by the IIMs. Panjab University shall not be responsible for any postal delay in delivery or loss in transit of application form.
2. The candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview based on their overall aggregate percentage score in the CAT 2022. Personal Interview in each category
3. The number of candidates to be called for Group Discussion and will be equal to 10 times the total number of seats of all these courses or the total number of eligible candidate, whichever is lower.
4. The Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the short-listed candidates will be held at University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The invitation for attending GD & PI & schedule of GD & PI would be put on the UBS admission website sent to the made in this https://ubs.puchd.ac.in. Alert about the schedule of GD & PI would be registered email address of the candidates. No other communication shall be made in this context.
5. Final Merit List of all the candidates called and appeared for GD & PI will be prepared categorywise on the basis of their combined aggregate score in the CAT 2022 Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
6. The weightage for CAT, Group Discussion and Personal Interview for preparing the final Merit List for admission.

Eligibility

(i) Admission to this course is through an Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. 

(ii) Bachelors Degree in any stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University **

OR a pass in the final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England/Institute of Cost Accountants of India or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of England/Institute of Company Secretaries of India;

OR Diploma in Personal Management and Labour Welfare or Diploma in Marketing Management with not less than 60% marks in the aggregate, provided the candidate holds a Bachelors degree.

(iii) Two years whole time executive experience in a commercial or industrial establishment after having passed the qualifying examination as given above. Members of All India or State Administrative/Technical Services and Defence Personnel holding administrative positions with not less than two years of executive experience will also be eligible. Organisational sponsorship is essential.

Note: Applying for Entrance Test and taking the Test do not entitle a candidate for admission. For admission to PU-CETPG based Master of Business Administration for Executives (MBAfEX) programme being offered by University Business School at Panjab University , online Admission Form will have to be submitted by the Candidate separately. Online Admission Form will be available from 06.06.2017. The candidates are required to fill up and submit online Admission Form at http://onlineadmissions.puchd.ac.in latest by 06.07.2017, even if the result of Entrance Test has not been declared by then.

** Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelors degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi(Gurumukhi script)] and/or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit/Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other University obtained in the same manner recognized by the Syndicate; 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional papers English and Elective subject taken together
