8 Steps to Complete Your GMAT Application

Step 1: Create Your Account

Visit mba.com and sign up.

IMP: Your name must exactly match the name on your Passport. A typo here can lead to being barred from the exam.

Step 2: Start Registration

Click "Register for the GMAT." You will choose between the Test Center or Online format.

Step 3: Complete Your Personal Profile

Enter your address, phone number, and date of birth. You can opt-in to the "GMAT Graduate Study Search Service" to allow business schools to contact you with scholarship opportunities.

Step 4: Academic & Work History (Optional)

Fill in your undergraduate degree and work experience. This helps GMAC provide you with more relevant school recommendations, but you can skip this to save time.

Step 5: Verify Your Identity Details

Carefully review your Name, DOB, and Country of Citizenship. Once saved, these details are difficult to change and must match your Passport perfectly on test day.

Step 6: Select Your Test Center & Date

  • Test Center: Choose up to 3 centers to compare availability. Pick your preferred date and time (Morning or Afternoon).

  • Online: You can pick almost any time 24/7, but you must pass a system hardware check first.

Step 7: Confirm Your Selections

Review your appointment details. Ensure you haven't accidentally booked a date that conflicts with your MBA application deadlines.

Step 8: Pay the Fee

Complete the payment. Once successful, you will receive a confirmation email. Do not delete this email; it contains your GMAT ID, which you will need for score reporting.
