About GMAT

The GMAT is a computer-based exam that evaluates critical reasoning, problem-solving, data sufficiency, logic, and analytical skills essential for business and management success. It consists of three sections: Verbal Reasoning (21 questions in 45 minutes), Quantitative Reasoning (23 questions in 45 minutes), and Data Insights (20 questions in 45 minutes), total 64 questions in 2 hours and 15 minutes.

GMAT Cut-off 

 

GMAT Score threshold varies depending on the difficulty level, number of candidates writing the exam, seat vacancies, average scores, and more. Although the GMAT exam's minimum/maximum score isn't set in stone, a candidate with a score of 715 and above is considered a good score for top 10 universities. 

  • The total GMAT score ranges from 200-800, and based on an average estimate, two-thirds of the candidates sitting for the GMAT exam obtain a score of 400 to 600.  

  • Although the GMAT exam's minimum/maximum score isn't set on stone, a candidate with a score of 715 and above is considered a good score for top 10 universities. 

  • GMAT score of 760+ ranks a candidate at above 99 percentile. The table below is a list of some of the top B-schools' minimum cut-off requirement for admission eligibility
