XAT Exam

The official XAT mock test will assist candidates in comprehending the pattern, difficulty levels, weightage, and question types.

Mock Test

The XAT mock test, together with sample questions and other test prep resources, is the primary source of exam preparation. The official XAT mock test is distributed along with the admit card. 

1. The official XAT mock test is a duplicate of the XAT question paper, with an identical number of questions, difficulty level, and time duration.

2. Each MCQ has five possible answers from which to select the correct one.

3. The XAT mock test is divided into two sections:

  1. Part 1 is 175 minutes long.

  • Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability (26 questions)

  • Making a decision (21 questions)

  • Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (28 questions)

  1. 2nd Part (5 minutes)

  • Mock Keyboard Testing 

  1. 3rd Part (30 minutes)

  • General Information (25 questions)

  • Writing an Essay (1 question)

 

Mock Test Marking Scheme

  • Marks awarded for every correct answer is +1.

  • Negative marks awarded for every incorrect answer is -0.25.

  • Negative marks awarded for every unattempted question after eight consecutive unattempted questions are -0.10.

  • There is no negative marking in the General Knowledge section.

  • The countdown timer on the computer screen will display the time remaining.

  • On completion of 175 minutes, Part 1 will be locked and the screen will move to Part 2.

 

How to take the mock test?

Candidates are recommended to practice mock exams during the final three months of exam preparation, i.e. the last three months before the exam. See below for instructions on how to access the most recent official XAT mock test:

  • Click on the 'Mock Test' tab 

  • Enter your login credentials 

  • Start the XAT mock test
