The future of work is changing faster than ever before. Artificial intelligence is transforming industries, new roles are emerging, and professionals are increasingly expected to reinvent themselves throughout their careers.
In response to these changes, the Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), New Delhi, has launched FIIBX, a new student development framework designed to help graduates build careers that remain relevant in a rapidly evolving world.
The initiative was formally unveiled at FIIB's campus during an event featuring Raghav Gupta, Head of Education for India and APAC at OpenAI.
FIIBX is built around the belief that while the future cannot be predicted, students can develop the capabilities needed to navigate it successfully.
The framework offers six career pathways and ten career tracks across areas including Consulting & Strategy, Marketing & Growth, Finance & FinTech, Operations & Analytics, People & Organization, and Founders & Venture.
Rather than focusing solely on academic subjects, FIIBX integrates classroom learning with practical experiences that help students build confidence, capability, and professional readiness.
Students participate in ActionWorks™, an experiential ecosystem that includes industry projects, simulations, consulting assignments, immersions, capability bootcamps, and AI-enabled learning experiences. These activities are designed to expose students to real-world situations before they enter the workforce.
Students then demonstrate their development through EvidenceWorks™, a series of structured challenges focused on problem solving, strategic decision making, innovation, leadership, and workplace application.
“Students often ask what the future will look like,” said Dr. Radhika Shrivastava, President of FIIB. “The more important question is whether they will be prepared for it. FIIBX is designed to help students build capabilities that remain valuable regardless of how careers evolve.”
The framework also incorporates three institution-wide multipliers.
- AI Readiness helps students understand how to work effectively with AI and emerging technologies.
- Network Advantage provides access to industry professionals, alumni, and international networks that can support learning and career growth.
- Responsible Mindset encourages students to lead with ethics, judgement, and a commitment to creating positive impact.
According to FIIB, the objective is not simply to help students secure employment, but to support long-term career development by building capabilities that can travel across roles, industries, and opportunities.
The framework is being introduced across FIIB's management programmes beginning this academic year and will form a central part of the student experience moving forward.
