The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) will issue the CAT 2024 admit card tentatively in the last week of October. The CAT admission card 2024 download link will be activated on iimcat.ac.in. Registered candidates can get their IIM CAT test 2024 admit card by entering their valid CAT login ID and password into the CAT admit card login. The CAT 2024 admission exam will most likely be held on November 30 in more than 157 cities across the country. This national-level MBA admission exam is estimated to attract over 3,50,000 participants.
Step-by-Step Process to Download CAT Admit Card
You can download your CAT 2024 Admit card in 5 simple steps:
- Login to CAT's Official Website link
- Click on the ‘Registered Candidate Login’ Icon
- Enter CAT Login ID & Password
- Click on Admit Card Download
- Save, Verify & take Print of CAT Admit card
Candidates can bring any of the following picture IDs (original) with the admission card to the test center for verification:
- PAN card
- E-Aadhaar or physical copy of Aadhaar Card
- Driving License
- Voter ID
- Passport
- Ration Card
- Identiļ¬cation Affidavit along with the Admit Card
How to View & Download CAT Admit Card
As against the earlier process of going to ‘Assessment’ under the head Admit Card, the CAT 2024 Admit card download process has been made much simpler. Now you can download your CAT Admit card in 5 steps from the official CAT website as shared below:
Step-1: Logon to the Official CAT Website iimcat.ac.in
Open your computer system and check whether the CAT site is getting opened or there are technical glitches. Check for the icon ‘Download Admit Card’ on the screen. You can find it on the CAT website home page - click on it. This will lead you to CAT Admit Card page.
Step-2: Click on the Icon ‘Admit Card’
At the Admit card link, go to the icon ‘Download Admit Card’ click on it
Step-3: Use CAT Login ID & Password
You are at Login window. Enter your 7 digit CAT user Id and the 7 digit CAT password and you can view your CAT exam Admit card 2024 on the screen. In case you forget your CAT password, do not worry, click on ‘forget password’ and IIMs will send your CAT login ID and password to your registered Mail ID for CAT exam
Step-4: Click to Download
At the bottom is the message ‘Please click here to download your Admit Card’. Click at the link ‘here’ and your admit card is downloaded
Step-5: Save, Verify and Take Print of CAT Admit Card

Download and Verify: Once the CAT Admit Card is downloaded error-free, ensure that all personal details, including printed photograph, signature image, Date of Birth, CAT 2024 registration Number, TSN number, test venue, exam date and time, and reporting time, are accurate.

Save the Document: Save the downloaded CAT Admit Card in a folder that is easy to remember. For example, create a document named 'CAT 2024 Admit Card'.

Print Multiple Copies: Take at least 2 prints of the CAT Admit Card on A4 size paper. You will need the hard copy of the admit card with your photo additionally affixed on it at the CAT exam centre on November 25, 2024.

Check for Accuracy: Double-check all the details printed on the admit card to ensure there are no errors or discrepancies.

Prepare for Exam Day: Keep the printed copies of the CAT Admit Card safely with you. Make a note of the exam date and reporting time, and plan your travel to the exam centre accordingly.
Things to be reviewed in the admit card
- The candidate's name should match that on the CAT exam form 2024.
- The CAT registration number 2024 on the admit card should match the CAT user ID.
- The date of birth should be the same as it appears on the CAT application and official documentation.
- Caste category and PwD status must be entered accurately.
- The CAT test city and center addresses, as well as a Google map link to the test center's actual location, should be included. The CAT exam centre must be one of the alternatives specified by the individual on the application form.
- The candidate's photograph and signature must appear on the admission card.
3) Important Do’s for CAT Admit Card
Please note that CAT Admit card is your passport to the CAT exam centre. Without Admit Card, you will not be allowed to enter the testing hall. After downloading of CAT 2024 Hall Ticket you should comply with following five do’s:
- CAT Admit card is valid only if your photograph and signature images are legibly printed on the print out of CAT 2024 Hall Ticket.
- Affix your coloured photograph on CAT Admit Card in the given space. Your photograph should be identical to your printed image on the CAT hall ticket.
- Only Admit Card & valid Photo ID Card will be allowed inside the test hall.
- There is a Test System Number (TSN) on the CAT Admit Card. It is provided only for the limited purpose of identifying the floor/wing at the test venue on the CAT exam day. For any correspondence with CAT Center you must provide your Registration Number.
- The Admit Card is to be produced for verification at test centre at the time of the test.
4) Don’t Panic, if Delay occurs
Sometimes the icon ‘Download Admit card’ is enabled by IIMs on CAT website much earlier than the scheduled time, but it remains inactivated till 1 PM. You need not worry as the download of CAT hall ticket is enabled by IIMs in time. Please do not expect any hard copy of the CAT 2024 Admit card by post or in mail to be sent by IIMs.
5) View & Download Admit Card from CAT website; not from your mail
- The CAT Admit Card will be available exclusively on the CAT website and will not be sent via email.
- To access and print the Admit Card, you must log in using your CAT 2024 User ID.
- It's crucial not to delay the download process. With approximately 2.41 lakhs candidates accessing the website simultaneously, even a slight delay in viewing and downloading the CAT 2024 Admit Card may lead to technical glitches and increase your waiting time.
- While the CAT website is robust and capable of handling a high volume of aspirants, it may experience technical issues such as slowing down, incomplete details display, or error messages.
- Such technical glitches can be frustrating and may increase anxiety levels. Therefore, it's important to remain patient and persistent during the download process.
