After its renaming to IIM Mumbai, the institute has introduced MBA programs starting from the 2024-25 academic session, along with key updates to its eligibility criteria. IIM Mumbai now accepts a bachelor's degree in any discipline, replacing the previous mandatory requirement for an engineering degree. The institute has also transitioned from offering PGDM programs to providing three 2-year full-time MBA programs. Previously, NITIE awarded AICTE-approved diplomas like PGDIM and PGDIE, but now, as an IIM recognized by the Act of Parliament, it is authorized to confer MBA degrees, similar to other IIMs. The MBA programs offered by IIM Mumbai are as follows:

The application process for admission to IIM Mumbai begins with the start of the CAT registration process. Candidates must apply for CAT before the deadline. For the 2025 admissions, IIM Mumbai may not require a separate application for the MBA program.
