CAT 2024 Notification

The CAT 2024 exam is scheduled for November 24, 2024, and will serve as a key step for admission to the 21 IIMs and top MBA colleges across India. IIM Calcutta will be conducting this year’s exam. As per the official CAT notification released on July 28, 2024, the registration process will open on August 1, 2024, and close on September 20, 2024.

Given the challenging nature of the CAT exam, it’s important to begin preparation well in advance, ideally at least nine months before the exam. However, if you haven’t started yet, there's still time. The final batch of the IMS CATapult Live Online Program for CAT 2024 starts in August, offering a chance to complete the syllabus and be exam-ready.

CAT Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PwD/DA category) from a recognized university.
Final-year bachelor’s students or those awaiting results are also eligible to apply for CAT 2024.

Please Note:

Candidates with professional degrees (CA/CS/ICWA) can apply, provided they meet the minimum percentage criteria.
There is no upper age limit, allowing working professionals to apply.
Work experience is not mandatory for CAT application, but it is beneficial for IIM admissions.

CAT Exam 2024 Registration Process:

To register for CAT 2024, follow these steps on the official IIMCAT website:

Visit the official website: iimcat.ac.in.
Click on ‘New Registration’.
Fill in your name, date of birth, nationality, phone number, and email ID.
Complete the CAPTCHA and verify your registration through the OTP sent to your phone.
Use the CAT 2024 ID received via email to log in and continue with the application.
Enter your personal and academic details.
Upload a recent passport-size photograph and a scanned signature.
Choose your preferred IIMs, courses, and test cities.
Pay the application fee using a credit/debit card or net banking

CAT Exam 2024: Application Form Details

The official notification for CAT 2024 has been released, and the application form will be available starting August 1, 2024, on iimcat.ac.in. Candidates can complete the registration process online through the official website. Once registration is complete, candidates will receive their admit cards online.

Photograph:
- Must be a recent photo (max 6 months old) with a white or off-white background.
- Dimensions: 30mm x 45mm.
- Maximum size: 1 MB.
- Format: JPEG or JPG.
Signature:
- Maximum size: 80 KB.
- Dimensions: 80mm x 35mm.
- Format: JPEG or JPG.
Category Certificate (if applicable):
- Required formats: SC/ST / NC-OBC / EWS.
Disability Certificate (if applicable):
- Required formats: PwD Form V / VI / VII.
Academic Details:
- 10th Grade

- Graduation
- Masters/Professional Degree (if applicable).
- Note: Convert CGPA/Grades to percentage.
Work Experience:
- Provide details of full-time experience after graduation until July 31, 2024.
