IIM Vizag Stage 1 Shortlist – What It Means

Candidates meeting the minimum CAT percentile cutoffs are shortlisted for Phase 1, which requires filling the PGP application form.

Phase 1: PGP Application Form

Phase 2: Personal Interview (PI) Shortlist

• Based on CAT score + academics + work experience + diversity

• Shortlisted candidates must fill an Interview Consent Form

• PI conducted offline

 PI Shortlist & Consent: 2nd – 6th February
 PI Dates: 8th March – 12th April

Phase 3: Final Selection & Offers

• Final merit list prepared

• Admission offers released

Documents Required for IIM Vizag Application

• 10th & 12th marksheets + pass certificates (merged into one PDF)

• Graduation consolidated marksheet / provisional degree

• Final-year students: Affidavit

• Work experience documents (salary slips, offer letter, relieving letter)

• Business owners: ITRs, GST, MSME/Udyam registration

• Category / PwD certificates (if applicable)

 Only post-graduation work experience is counted
 Internships, part-time, unpaid roles are not considered

Statement of Purpose (SOP) 

Your SOP is a key differentiator in the IIM Vizag selection process.

You must clearly explain:

A well-written SOP can significantly improve your PI chances.

Work Experience Scoring (Out of 10 Marks)

• Less than 12 months: 0 marks

• 24–36 months: Full 10 marks

• More than 48 months: 2.5 marks

Special Exception: No Separate PI for BLACKI Candidates
