What is the selection process for top Bschool?
The selection process for all top B-schools is meticulously monitored, typically consisting of distinct stages. Initially, candidates are assessed based on their CAT percentile scores and sectional cutoffs. The second stage varies among IIMs and top B-schools, each instituting its unique process. Each B-school sets its own overall and sectional cutoffs, determining the shortlisting of students for the subsequent stages, which may include AWT(Analytical Writing Test)/WAT(Writing Ability Test)/GD(Group Discussion) & PersonalInterview(PI).
In the final stage, the selection is strictly contingent upon the shortlisting of candidates, conducted separately for each category (General/SC/ST/NC-OBC/PWD), based on the Final Composite Score(FCS).
The Final Composite Score involves a normalization process aimed at ensuring fairness and equity in evaluating candidates across all sessions. Their scores undergo CAT normalization to derive individual percentiles.
What is the Waitlist Movement?
Following the initial announcement of selected candidates, an additional group of applicants is maintained on standby if any chosen candidate opts to decline their seat. Subsequently, the seat becomes available to the next qualified candidate.
