It runs in four phases. Phase 1 covers Listening and Reading fundamentals - note-taking, skimming, scanning, and keyword matching. Phase 2 is Writing - Task 1 (charts, maps, processes) and Task 2 (argumentative essays with Lexical Resource coaching). Phase 3 is Speaking - fluency drills, topic card techniques, and full mock Speaking evaluations. Phase 4 is Test-Day Sprint - full mocks with timed conditions and OSR strategy if needed. CGAPS additionally includes official Cambridge IELTS 17-20 books. Physical materials available for an additional fee.

Is there a refund policy?+
Yes. 6-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, no questions asked. After that, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Full terms on our refund page at catking.in.
What is One Skill Retake (OSR) and should I use it?+
OSR lets you retake just one section (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) within 60 days of your original test at ~₹12,650 - less than half the full re-test fee of ₹19,000. CATKing includes an OSR Strategy Session in all IELTS plans - we analyse your section bands and tell you exactly which section to retake and how to prepare in 30 days for maximum improvement.
How many attempts can I take for IELTS?+
There is no limit on the number of IELTS attempts. Computer-delivered IELTS is available daily in 100+ Indian cities - you can book a new attempt as soon as you are ready. CATKing recommends attempting after at least 4-6 weeks of focused preparation. Use the OSR to fix individual weak sections rather than retaking the full test unnecessarily.
How many students did CATKing help achieve Band 7+ last year?+
1,200+ Band 7-8 achievers in the 2024-25 cycle with CATKing IELTS programmes. Students have secured admits at Edinburgh, UBC, McGill, UNSW, Wharton, and 200+ other universities globally. UK nursing (NMC), Canada PR (IRCC), and Australia visa achievements also documented. Names and testimonials visible in the testimonials section above.
Can I talk to someone before buying?+
Yes. The Talk to Counsellor button below books a free 15-minute consultation with a senior CATKing counsellor experienced in IELTS and study-abroad applications. No sales pressure - just honest guidance on which plan fits your target band, destination, and timeline.
How long is my IELTS score valid?+
IELTS scores are valid for 2 years from the test date. This is the standard accepted by universities, immigration authorities (UKVI, IRCC, DHA), and professional bodies (NMC, GMC) worldwide. If your score expires before your visa or admission process, you will need to retake. CATKing recommends timing your test 12-18 months before your target intake date.
What band do I need for a UK student visa?+
For a UK Student Visa (Tier 4), you need IELTS UKVI with a minimum B2 level - typically 5.5 overall with no band below 5.5 for most university programmes, or 6.0-7.5 depending on the university and programme. For NHS/NMC nursing registration, the requirement is 7.0 in each section (no component below 7.0). CATKing's UKVI-specific prep covers these requirements precisely.
I am still in college. Can I start IELTS prep now?+
Yes, and starting early is an advantage. IELTS has no eligibility restriction - you can take the test at any age and appear as many times as you wish. Many students begin preparation in the final year of their Bachelor's to secure a Band 7+ before applying for Master's programmes. Since scores are valid for 2 years, a test taken now covers applications for the 2026 or 2027 intake.
