International English Language Testing System(IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9). Like TOEFL, IELTS is used by universities and organizations to assess the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers.

Why IELTS Exam?
The IELTS exam is required for migration and academic purposes in English-speaking nations such as Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada. The IELTS exam is the only English Language Test that UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) accepts for visa applicants both inside and outside the UK. Many students are perplexed as to why IELTS scores are required. Types of IELTS
IELTS examinations are divided into two types: Academic and General Training. The listening and speaking sections are the same for both examinations; however, the writing and reading components alter depending on which test is taken. The IELTS Reading, Writing, and Listening portions are all performed on the same day, with no interruptions in between. The Speaking component, on the other hand, can be performed either a week before or after the other exam date.

IELTS General Training
Those who intend to migrate to major English-speaking nations such as Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom take the IELTS General Test.
