The IFMR Krea University, also known as the IFMR Graduate School of Business, was founded in 1970. One of Krea University's colleges, IFMR Graduate Business School (IFMR GSB) is a private college situated in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. Since December 2017, IFMR GSB has maintained its five-year accreditation with the South Asian Quality Assurance System (SAQS). The Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), a global non-profit organization recognized by SAARC, bestows the SAQS accreditation. In addition, the NIRF 2024 rankings place IFMR Krea University in the 99th place for the "Management" category.
The IFMR Graduate Business School provides several certificate programs, an MBA, an Executive MBA, and a PhD. IFMR Graduate School of Business, Sri City, India has been accredited by SAQS (South Asian Quality Assurance System) for a period of five years from 14 December 2017. SAQS is an international system of strategic audit and accreditation designed for the assessment of institution in widely different national contexts. It is a globally benchmarked system for Mentoring, Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
The SAQS accreditation is awarded by The Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), an international not-for-profit association, and is a “SAARC Recognized Body”. We are working with AMDISA for SAQS re-accreditation. It is an on-going process.

IFMR Chennai Scholarships 2026
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship
The School extends scholarships to students in need of financial assistance. The objective of the scholarship policy is to ensure that a meritorious student is not deprived of education for financial reasons. This process is intended for those students who have a pressing need for financial assistance.
Eligibility:
a) Minimum CGPA of 3.33 (equivalent to a ‘B+’ grade average) at the end of Term-3
b) Family annual combined income for the Financial Year : Less than INR 10 Lakhs
Based on CGPA at the end of Term-3, the Office of Academic Administration sends a notification to eligible students to apply for Merit-cum-Means scholarship.
Scholarship is given only to those students who are assessed to have the need for it. The Committee makes this decision based on the information provided by the student and a personal interview with him/her, if required. Based on the recommendations of the Scholarship Committee, the top 10 students who meet the above eligibility criteria will be considered for the award of scholarship. The scholarship amount shall be up to Rs 2 lakhs per student.
T. Thomas Scholarship For Business Leaders
IFMR GSB has been selected by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) for the award of T. Thomas Scholarship for Business Leaders to the second-year MBA student based on the academic performance at the end of Term-3. The scholarship amount shall be Rs 1 lakh.
As per the criteria mentioned above, the Registrar’s Office shares the list of toppers with HUL for deciding the winner.
Merit Scholarships
Based on the CGPA at the end of the second year, following merit scholarships are awarded:
First Rank: Rs 2 lakhs

In November 2019, CFA Institute approved the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme of IFMR GSB, Krea University, under the CFA University Affiliation Programme (UAP). This affiliation signals potential students, employees, and all stakeholders that the curriculum of the MBA Programme of IFMR GSB, Krea University covers a significant portion of the CFA Programme Candidate Body of Knowledge as well as places emphasis on the ethics aspects covered under the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. Krea University is located at the sprawling 3,00,000 sq. ft. the campus at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The campus currently accommodates over 300 students with contemporary educational and recreational infrastructure.
Spread across 40 acres, Krea University’s ‘smart’ campus is designed to stimulate learning and interaction. Equipped with tech-enabled classrooms, a lab for simulated and real trading on NSE, with live feeds. latest learning tools and research facilities, the campus also provides ample space and infrastructure for sporting, cultural and other leisure activities. Facilities like the Student Interaction Zone, Art & Cultural spaces have been specially designed to facilitate greater interaction with peers.

The library includes a rich collection of over 30,000 books on various aspect of Management, Social Sciences, Literature and more. Also, the library boasts of over 105 Indian and International journals in print form and more than 4500 e-journals available through Online databases. The library also has a varied collection of Audio Visual materials in the form of CD-Roms and DVDs. It subscribes to six online databases that provide access to Industry/ Company statistical information.
The library equipped with all modern facilities provides a conducive environment to the users for their learning and research. A fully automated system ensures efficient delivery of library services and circulation of books and other library material. OPAC: provides the facility of searching, browsing, and reserving physical materials available at the library. Users can log in, check the status of the issued books, suggestion, fines, create reading list etc.
Food and Dining
The modern, well-lit dining and air-conditioned dining hall, has a seating capacity of nearly 400 students, making it an ideal community space.
Students are provided with three healthy meals a day, and an evening snack. The menu is designed with a mix of flavours and cuisines, to cater to a diverse palate. Apart from the regular main menu, students also have the option to purchase food from two snack counters at the dining hall, which also offers a wide choice.
