IELTS Exam

International English Language Testing System(IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9). Like TOEFL, IELTS is used by universities and organizations to assess the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers.

Cut off

IELTS's governing body, IDP, does not publish any IELTS cut-off scores. It only declares the IELTS result after the TRF (Test Report Form) is released. IELTS TRF incorporates IELTS Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening scores from all four areas. For each section and altogether, the IELTS band score goes from 1 to 9. We have included IELTS band score descriptors below to help you comprehend the IELTS band score.
