IELTS Registration process

The registration process now includes a choice of format, which is a crucial step.

Visit the Official Portal: Log on to www.ieltsidpindia.com.
Select Test Type & Format: Choose between IELTS Academic or General Training, and then select Computer-delivered (Fastest results) or Paper-based.
Choose Location & Date: Select from over 80+ test cities in India. Computer-delivered slots are available almost daily.
Upload Documents: You will need a clear scan of your valid Passport (mandatory for registration).
Payment: Pay the test fee of ₹19,000 (as of April 2026) via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Book Your Speaking Slot: Unlike the other sections, you can often manually select your Speaking test time and date during the registration flow.
